First Dive in Palau

Living for adventure!

After our diving course, we decided to use our spring break time wisely and try our first dive. The weather was not great but still, we were excited about the new adventure.

Depois do nosso curso de mergulho, decidimos usar o nosso tempo de férias da páscoa da melhor forma e experimentar o nosso primeiro mergulho. O tempo não era o melhor mas nós estávamos excitados por experimentar esta nova aventura!

Blue Corner was our first location and was great… The feeling of being underwater is spectacular and everything is mesmerizing, even the air bubbles coming out of the breathers. We did have the chance to see sharks, a lot of them. Didn’t did we know that the current underwater was so strong that made almost all of us seasick at the end of the dive. Of course, my strong husband was one of the few that did not suffer from this situation.

Blue Corner foi o primeiro local e foi fantástico… A sensação de estar debaixo de água é espetacular e tudo é hipnotizante até as bolhas de ar que saem dos respiradores. Tivemos a oportunidade de ver muitos tubarões. Mas sem nos apercebermos, a corrente debaixo de água era muito forte e fez com que quase todos nós ficássemos enjoados no fim do mergulho. Claro, que o meu marido como homem forte que é foi um dos poucos a não sofrer deste mal.

We thought everything was ruined but after some minutes we control the situation and finished two more dives, this time at the German Channel. Even though we didn’t saw mantas, really usual in that spot, we saw a lot of fish and turtles and I touched one and also a Napoleon (shuuu! don’t tell anyone).

Nós pensamos que estava tudo arruinado mas após alguns minutos controlamos a situação e fizemos mais dois mergulhos, desta vez no German Channel. Apesar de não termos visto mantas, o que é bastante usual neste sítio, vimos muitos peixes e tartarugas e eu até toquei numa assim como num Napoleão (shuuu! Não digas a ninguém).

Not the perfect first experience diving but a memorable one. After this, we just want to have the opportunity of diving more in the best place of the world for it, Palau!

Não foi o primeiro mergulho perfeito mas foi memorável. Depois desta aventura, só queremos ter mais oportunidades para mergulhar no melhor lugar do mundo, Palau!
